Going to Visit Barbados

Barbados welcomes visitors from all over the world to have an enjoyable holiday on the island, but before you figure out how to have a BLAST! in Barbados.

Travel Documents

A valid return ticket

An official valid passport- valid for at least six months

A VISA- only if you are not a national of the following countries:

France

Germany

Canada

Ireland

Italy

Japan

Spain

South Africa

The Netherlands

UK and dependent territories

US and dependent territories

If you are not a national of any of the countires listed above, to visit Barbados, you will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months as mentioned, and if your intention is to vist Barbados on holiday you will also need a visitors visa.

Once you fill out the visa application form and submit all supporting documents (your visa application form should be filled out in duplicate and submitted with passport photos of yourself) it usually takes between 2 to 5 weeks to process the visitor visa.

You love Bim so much ! And you are not quite ready to end your holiday or vacation.

• Visitors to Barbados can stay up to 6 months without a Barbados visa

• If 6 months still isn't a long enough time for you to visit Barbados, telephone the Immigration Department to make arrangements to extend your stay.

• Cruise ship passengers who are citizens of the following countries require tourist visas :

- Korea

- South Africa

- The Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S)

- The People’s Republic of China

- Eastern European Countries

• Cruise ship passengers on a cruise which will depart from and return to Barbados are required to have a valid passport.

• Cruise ship passengers in transit to take a flight out of Barbados in less then 24 hrs are not required to have a valid passport.
